Our Challenge

Ogden Safety Systems needed to deploy their new-look brand into the web to coincide with the evolution of their business. Reflecting the cutting-edge nature of their products, the site needed to clearly communicate the range of products, the company's background and ensure that enquiries reached the relevant sales representative quickly.

The Solution


Following a workshop with key stakeholders, Black Lab proposed a custom website design built on a Content Management System that would provide Ogden Safety System team members the control to update content quickly and easily.


After proposing several homepage styles, a creative scheme was selected. Black Lab rolled out the new design to the remaining new pages and, once completed, began the build phase. Using a custom, ground-up WordPress build, Black Lab created a user-friendly CMS that allowed admin users to control content across the site. While initially e-commerce functionality was not required, the site was structured in such a way that adding it at a later date would be easy and simple.


The site needed to convert visitors to enquirers. Clear Calls-To-Action or CTAs were placed throughout the site with custom enquiry forms for specific areas of the site.


The responsive design aligns with other brand touch points and was built in such a way that further development can evolve the site as the brand grows and their service offering increases.

The Results

In addition to creating a website that was visually capturing and suitable, the site was optimised for improved search engine rankings through SEO support at the build stage. Moreover, the website successfully met the Core Web Vitals standards, ensuring appropriate site visibility with Google and an improved user experience.
